Private Lessons

Start or Continue your Music-Making Today!!

The Academy at Maryland Music is a fun and casual place for learning all about music. Don’t let the word “Academy” or our school crest intimidate you! We do take music education seriously around here, but all of our teachers like to keep it a fun and engaging process as well. Even better, they are all qualified to guide you from Twinkle Twinkle Little Star for as far as you want to go, up to and including getting into a music school!

Nothing beats having the individual attention that private lessons provides. Our teachers will work with you at your pace to guide you along your own personal musical journey.

General Information about Rates and Pricing

Our lesson rates are based on the instructor’s credentials.

When shopping around and comparing rates for private lesson instruction, please remember to consider the entire picture. Our instructors are all university-educated professionals, and many have graduate certifications, Masters degrees, and even Doctorate degrees. Our rates are very competitive, especially for students who make the commitment to study for 8 weeks at a time!

Obviously a string of letters after your name or some pieces of paper on the wall don’t automatically make somebody a great teacher. However, not only are our teachers highly qualified, but they are also fun to work with and will match their teaching to your goals. Even if you are just studying music casually, they are all happy to help you and pass along their own enjoyment and love of music!
