The Maryland Academy of Music has been in business since 2004. At the beginning, we had been a division of Maryland Piano Service.   At the start of 2012, The Maryland Academy of Music was transferred to the newly-formed Maryland Music, a new entity.

Our school has a staff of University-Educated music professionals who provide instruction to over 80 students of many levels and ages from 5 years old to retired adults in their 70s. We are located in back of The Oak Run Business Center at 9139-C Red Branch Road in Columbia, MD. In addition to having 5 lesson studios, the school has a 50-seat recital space with a 9-foot Baldwin concert grand piano. Our school store has a stock of sheet music and books,  music accessories, and band and orchestra instrument rentals and repairs are also available.
