Students who just participated in our May Performance Workshops last week did a fantastic job and enjoyed the experience!
I have posted some of the pictures from the workshops in a Facebook album. If parents or other students also took some photos, then please feel free to post them or send them along to me and I’ll be happy to add them to the album.
Based on how the program has gone so far this year, we are going to start reserving the Wednesday evening workshops for adults and young adults about age 13 and older and the Saturday afternoon workshops will be for the younger students ages 5 – 12. We are also going to try and limit the workshop participants to about 12 per session.
We hope this will be an incentive for our adult students to participate, as they will know that those Wednesday evening sessions will place them with other older students.
Also, with the limit of 12 students per workshop, this makes it even more important to plan out and sign up for your workshops ASAP! If you don’t have your next workshop planned, then take a moment to sign up online right now.
Remember the key points of the program:
All students are required to participate in 2 workshops per year
Students should always know their next scheduled workshop and inform and work with their teachers to that goal
Participants will play at least 1 solo piece and 1 duet or ensemble piece
Students may now sign up online for any of the scheduled workshops this year
Since these are workshops and not formal recitals, we request that no more than 2 additional family members attend
As always, if you have any questions then please let me know or come see me when you are here for your next lesson!
